Community

Slow Land’s initial action and focus was on supplyin’ meals, resources, and harm reduction kits while buildin community with folks in need of support.

We are focused on makin’ food and education accessible to all. This year our goal is to continue our farm to truck feedin’ program as well as gettin’ gardens into two detention facilities in Northeast Georgia to supply inmates with fresh food and education highlighting how to get by with little resources.

We host monthly meals served out of the back of our trucks. based in pot luck style, we ask for friends to come together to share food and resources

Fresh food is life changin’ and home cookin’ is a love language quickly lost when people consider others strangers. We grow our own food, prepare it, and share stories over meals in parkin’ lots to get to know folks.

Food insecurity is way more common than most know. We rely on our farm neighbors and land owners to help subsidize our meals when we can’t supply all the food.

Everyone is welcome and we are always lookin’ for donations from food to clothes to money to pay for utensils or any harm reduction items.
